On the chateau-dotted southern shore of Lake Geneva, Evian-les-Bains is one of the leading spa resorts in France. Its lakeside promenade, lined with trees and lawns, has been fashionable since the 19th century.
Beach
The beach is a beautiful location to truly enjoy the great lake environment that the town has been built around. In the summer it is busy with tourists enjoying the fantastic views and soaking up the sunshine. The beach is also popular for bracing walks in the winter, windswept and unspoilt.
Harbor
The harbor is one of the most important parts of this beautiful lakeside community. It is a great place to sit and watch the world go by, surrounded by top quality bars and restaurants, you can enjoy the lake views, the sunshine and a chilled glass of white wine on the dock of the bay.
Water Gardens
A town that has made its name from water is also surrounded by water, being on the southern banks of Lake Geneva. The appropriately named Water gardens are on the banks of the lake and look out across the body of water towards Switzerland. They have been beautifully landscaped to create a fine pastoral environment which is surrounded by mature trees and dotted with sweet smelling flowerbeds and shrubs that delight people who visit all year around.
