Evian-les-Bains or Evian is a town in the northern part of the Haute-Savoie department in France, on the shores of Lake Geneva, opposite Lausanne, Switzerland. It has a population of about 7,300 people.

Evian is home to the new Hilton Evian-les-Bains. This new development adds value to the shores of the small town and attracts more tourism.

Transportation

Evian can be a starting point for the 741 km drive to Nice along the Route des Grandes Alpes. One of Europe’s great drives, it links Lake Geneva with the Riviera, crossing 35 passes along the way. Leaping from valley to valley, it’s open from end to end only in summer.

Evian – the fountain of youth

Evian is a French brand of mineral water coming from several sources near Evian-les-Bains, on the south shore of Lake Geneva. Although it’s not from the fountain of youth, it has been praised along the years as being a viable cure for kidney and liver problems.
